Four Industrial Engineering Students, national winners of the International Project Management Championship
Four students of the Master in Project Management of the School of Industrial Engineering in the University of Valladolid have been proclaimed national winners of the International Project Management Championship. Daniel Pérez Tuñon, Laura Valles Méndez, Juan de Antón Heredero and Víctor García Pardo clinched the victory last 5th of April in the competition held in the Technical School of Agricultural, Food and Biosystems Engineering in the Universidad Politécnica in Madrid. The four students will represent Spain in the international phase which will be held between the 31th of May and the 2th of June in Nuremberg (Germany).
The International Project Management Championship is a championship organized by the IPMA Project Management Association. The national phases depend on the territorial associations, which in Spain is AEIPRO, and in the particular case of this championship has been carried out by the Young AEIPRO section.
The national competition consisted of three phases. The first one was developed online and it was included an online test to introduce a resolution of a practice case and subsequently in person final exercise of negotiation along with a results exhibition facing a jury. Six teams from Cádiz, Santiago de Compostela, Valladolid and Madrid reached the national final. After the performance of all these phases, the team “Máster DP UVa-BPMSat” achieved victory followed by two teams of the University of Cádiz.
