Researchers are testing a new therapy with stem cells for the degenerative disease of the disk

The University of Valladolid (UVa) and the Citospin spin-off take part in a European project in which they are testing a new therapy with stem cells for treating the degenerative disease of the disk, a condition which affects 70 million of European and which does not still count on a non-chirurgical effective treatment for the most severe cases. The project is financed with 5.5 million euros; from this amount, the UVa and Citospin have received around 1.5 million euros.
