The University of Valladolid has presented today, 5th of November, a new edition of the Christmas Concert which every year the young Orchestra of the University of Valladolid (JOUVa) plays for the benefit of Unicef. They will be held, as usual, three concerts in three of the four campuses of the University of Valladolid: The Trade Fair of Valladolid (on 24th of November), at 19 pm, the Campus Agora Maria Zambrano in Segovia (30th of November) at 8 pm; and the Main Theater of Palencia (1st of December) at 7 pm.

In the presentation the Vice-Chancellor for Communications and University Extension, Carmen Vaquero López, has taken part along with the director for the University Extension Area, Carmen Herrero Suárez; the director of the Young Orchestra of the University of Valladolid, Francisco Lara; and the President of Unicef in Castile and Leon, Montaña Benavides.

According to what Montaña Benavides has said, in this 18 edition, the earnings will be addressed to the fund mobilization to get rescue kids for supporting the most vulnerable kits. Each of them has a price of 3 euros and it includes a tablet for purifying the water, two doses of measles vaccines, a bar of soap, three therapeutic food packets, a notebook, and three pencils.

The program includes a “beautiful and easy to listen” program, as Francisco Lara, the director of the Young Orchestra of the University of Valladolid has claimed, and it contains pieces of G.Fauré and C.Reinecke.
