The professor of the University of Valladolid Marina Echebarría gives a lecture in the Final Conference of the ADIM project

The professor of the University of Valladolid, Marina Echebarría, has given a lecture in the Final Conference of the ADIM project (she makes progress in the Management of the LGBT Diversity in the Public and Private Sector). The event, held in the Ministry of Presidency, Relationships with the Parliament and Equality last 14th of June, was chaired by the Secretary of State for Equality, Soledad Murillo. The person in charge of equality policies, the General Secretary, Helena Castán. The Spanish and Portuguese companies and universities have taken part in this European project, which is taught to be continued.

The goals of ADIM are to have corporative policies more inclusive and normalizing; to promote the tolerance zero for homophobe language and comments; the recognition of the psychosocial risk which produces work harassment towards LGBT people and its prevention through plans and protocols, and the awareness and training of social agents, business managers and university population in regard to the sexual diversity.

Seventeen big companies have joined to this project; they are 11 Spanish and 6 Portuguese companies. In Spain, they are Adidas, Altadis, Banco de Santander, El Corte Inglés, I-Y Ilunion, Inditex, Renault, Telefónica, Uría Menéndez and Wizing. In Portugal: Tap- Air Portugal, Lush, IBM Fujitsu, BNP Paribas Portugal, and Wizink.

Besides 8 universities, 5 Spanish universities and 3 Portuguese universities take part. In Spain at the Complutense University of Madrid, the University of Málaga, The University Miguel Hernández of Elche, The University of Valladolid and the University of Zaragoza. In Portugal, The University of Beira Interior, The University of Aveiro and the University of Évora.
