Two professors of Journalism of the UVa, 2019 “Drago de Latina” Award

Two professors of Journalism of the University of Valladolid, Salomé Berrocal Gonzalo, and Raquel Quevedo Redondo, have received in Tenerife the “Drago de Latina 2019” Award. The award, with which the most cited articles of the Year in the “Revista Latina de Comunicación Social (Social Communications Latin Magazine)", has been given to seventeen authors from thirteen Spanish universities and one from the Catholic University of Ecuador.

The article for which Salomé Berrocal Gonzalo has got the award is “the presence of Infotainment in the generalist channels of Spanish DTT” (63 citations), and it was made with the co-authorship of three professors of the UVa: Eva Campos Domínguez, Marta Redondo García and Virginia Jiménez. Salomé Berrocal is also the co-author of the article for which Raquel Quevedo has got her award, “The use of the image in Twitter during the 2015 municipal Spanish campaign” (72 citations), drafted in cooperation with the researcher Marta Portalés Oliva of the Universitat Autònoma of Barcelona.
